Who can apply for Board Verify’s services?
You must be a UK Company Director or Person with Significant Control (PSC) with a GOV.UK One Login.
What documents are required to confirm eligibility?
You must provide valid identification including Full Name, Date of Birth, Nationality, Proof of Residential Address (and year moved in), a Valid UK Passport and National Insurance Number.
Are there any restrictions on company types for verification?
We verify for UK-registered companies including private Limited Companies (Ltd.) and Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs).
Are there any technological prerequisites?
To complete the liveness checks, you will need access to a smartphone or laptop with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection and the ability to send and receive documents (including your personal code) by email (a unique personal email address).
Can non-UK nationals still verify?
The key question is whether the person holds a valid UK passport. Dual nationals, British citizens born abroad, and people who live outside the UK can all verify their identity for Companies House as long as they meet the standard eligibility criteria. Residency isn’t the deciding factor — citizenship and acceptable ID are.
What Company information do you require + why?
We need the details of a UK-registered company for which you are a Director or PSC. If you are a Director/PSC of more than one company, we only need to check one. We need this information as, whilst we are verifying your personal identify, we need to confirm you are legally required to verify and entitled to a personal code.
